Let’s spend the day together at Fox Haven Farm for a natural indigo dyeing and clay paste resist workshop. You will learn how to dye in an indigo vat, mix clay paste resist, and apply and work with the paste to create beautiful patterns and designs on fabric.
Make a Tote Workshop: Indigo, Cyanotype, and Sew @ Give Rise

Join us Saturday, May 18th for a day of natural dyeing, plant magic and sewing. Through this workshop you will transform plain canvas into a one of a kind tote bag that incorporates indigo dyes and cyanotypes.
To start the day you will learn the art and science of indigo dyeing with me. Next, artist Jamie Gerhold will teach you how to create cyanotypes on fabric using pressed flowers and plants.
Then, you will use the fabric you dyed to create a one of a kind tote bag with BeckyJane.
The class setting is intentionally small to provide lots of one on one interaction with all three artists. This class is extremely hands on and will provide you with the opportunity to learn all three art forms in one day.
